December 2005 - ORB Launches Exclusive Iraq Consumer Omnibus
Beginning in January 2006 ORB together with Iraqi pollster, Munqith Daghir, will run a new omnibus survey providing access to consumer opinion in Iraq.
This exclusive survey will initially be conducted bi-monthly but, depending on client interest (which is already strong), frequency could increase to monthly or even weekly. The omnibus will involve face to face interviews with a nationally representative sample of 1,500 Iraqi adults (aged 18+). The survey will utilise a random, not quota, sampling technique.
ORB Research Director, Johnny Heald said the omnibus will build upon ORB’s extensive experience of conducting research in challenging and emerging markets.
“What happens with an emerging market is that the first people to do research are often governments, NGOs, etc,” said Heald. “Iraq is still pretty much at that stage, but it will open up.”
